Part Time North Point Church Administrator

BACKGROUND:

Active, growing, small community centered church of @500 members is actively pursuing a part time Church Administrator to support operations as well as the Senior and Executive Pastors. The Church Administrator will have a heart for Christ and serving passionately to support the Vision of North Point and its role in the work of expanding God’s kingdom. The Vision of North Point Community Church is: "Every person loves God and their neighbor, lives for Jesus and leads the world to the cross. (Love, Live, Lead)."

A. ADMINISTRATOR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  1. Manage calls, email, and other means of incoming communication into the church
  2. Assistant to both the Senior and Executive Pastor
  3. Manage building usage, scheduling, and coordination
  4. Manage the church master calendar
  5. Maintain personal contact with church members and communicate needs of the church to staff
  6. Support all preparations for Sunday morning worship
  7. Responsible for creating and distributing weekly newsletter
  8. Purchase of office supplies
  9. Membership tracking; sending and receiving of transfers
  10. Keeping a current church database
  11. Completion of annual RCA report
  12. Responsible for arranging consistory meals
  13. Consistory Nominations: forms, letters, and ballots as well as any other ballots as needed
  14. Special requests such as sermon props, retreat planning, or any other items deemed necessary by the Senior or Executive Pastor
  15. Supply updated information to the Web programming team
  16. Baptism arrangements
  17. Create ministry information packets for new families

B. QUALIFICATIONS applicant must possess:

  1. A commitment and follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates spiritual maturity and leadership through both a vibrant personal relationship with the Lord and within Christian community.
  2. Positive attitude and willingness to help others
  3. Excellent communication skills
  4. Ability to relate to and work with Senior and Executive Pastors
  5. Strong organizational skills
  6. Competence with basic Microsoft Office software products
  7. Strong competence in typing
  8. Ability to protect and preserve personal sensitive information of members
  9. Strong and disciplined work ethic
  10. Personal initiative
  11. Continuous improvement mentality

C. EXPECTATIONS

  1. Subscribe to and affirm the Statement of Faith and Values of North Point Church.
  2. Be a regular participant in public worship at North Point Church.
  3. Remain a member in good standing of North Point Church.

D. RELATIONSHIPS

  1. Reports to the Senior Pastor of North Point Church.
  2. Coordinates with staff, church committees, and ministry teams as needed.

E. COMPENSATION: $14-$16/hr

F. HOURS: Mon-Thurs 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

North Point Community Church Executive Pastor

BACKGROUND:

Active, growing, small community centered church of @500 members is actively pursuing an Executive Pastor. Seeking a ministry minded and educated leader that can manage a staff of 10 or less while balancing ministry needs within the church. Under the direction of the Senior Pastor, the Executive Pastor provides oversight, coordination, supervision and management of all the ministry staff and personnel in implementing the vision and mission of North Point Church. The Executive Pastor provides care and guidance for all pastors and ministry staff. The Executive Pastor is a servant leader, passionately committed to the growth of the church and to its role in the work of expanding God’s kingdom. The Vision of North Point Community Church is: "Every person loves God and their neighbor, lives for Jesus and leads the world to the cross. (Love, Live, Lead)."

A. RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop, oversee, and support ministries of the church.
  2. Meet regularly with Senior Pastor to apprise him of status of church ministries and staff activities.
  3. Develop leaders for project/program development and coordination.
  4. Meet regularly with pastoral staff ministry teams.
  5. Lead pastoral staff meetings in Senior Pastor’s absence.
  6. Develop and maintain systems and controls on all programs and activities, and coordinate staff responsibilities.
  7. Oversee the church master calendar and building use.
  8. Assist the Consistory in supporting the financial health and decision making of North Point Church.
  9. Maintain personal contact with individuals, couples, families, and programs.
  10. Supervise pastoral staff members in their specific area of ministry and meet twice monthly at minimum with each.

B. QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. A committed follower of Jesus Christ who demonstrates spiritual maturity and leadership through both a vibrant personal relationship with the Lord and within Christian community.
  2. Baccalaureate degree required and seminary / graduate degree preferred.
  3. At least five years in a multi-staff church setting with experience in administration and staff development.
  4. Ability to relate to and work with Senior Pastor, while assisting in executing North Point Church’s vision for the church aligned with his direction.
  5. Ability to develop, coordinate, lead, and support church ministries effectively.
  6. Ability to develop pastoral staff and facilitate their leadership in specific ministry areas.
  7. Demonstrated biblical competence.
  8. Ability and desire to teach, disciple and evangelize.

C. EXPECTATIONS

  3. Remain a member in good standing of North Point Church.

D. RELATIONSHIPS

  1. Reports to the Senior Pastor of North Point Church.
  2. Supervises pastoral staff.
  3. Participates in monthly Consistory meetings.
  4. Coordinates with other committees and ministry teams, as needed.
  5. Participates in biblical church discipline, as needed.
  6. Committed to Godly and intentional accountability.

E. COMPENSATION

  1. Salary of $55,000/year.
  2. Benefits consistent with RCA compensation guides.
